Amicus for Municipalities

Crowdsource by law and code management by turning your "complaints" into actionable citations using AI & ML to guide bylaw and code referencing

Amicus is the only crowdsourced municipal solution for bylaw and code management. Our goal is to ensure that the communities we live in are safe and managed with efficiency. We do this while putting taxpayers interests first and, as a by-product, increase revenue and compliance for the municipality.

How it works:

01

Residents submit infractions that are collected in Amicus and are automatically sent to their local municipalities. Infractions are ready for your review and approval.

02

Bring your team in to review and approve submissions based on your criteria's and determinations.

03

Amicus will automatically push reviewed and approved infractions to your ticket issuance system and reward users based on predefined incentive pools.

Why now?

Municipalities are fraught with financial and social pressures with limited tools to generate revenue while improving community experience and safety.

FAQ

Answers

How do I prevent a divisive culture?

As a municipality you have the final say in the types of bylaws & codes you are looking to enforce and behaviors you're looking to discourage. This solution is not meant to be punitive, but to identify safety concerns that impact all residents of your municipality regardless of their stances on enforcement efforts.

(EX. obstruction of fire hydrants & fire lanes)

How does ticket issuance work?

We developed an API that allows you to connect Amicus with your existing ticket issuance platforms (ie. Tempest, OpenGov, CityView, TylerTechnologies). As a part of your implementation, we will help build the necessary connections to push reviewed and approved submissions to your system at any cadence or frequency.

What incentivizes users to submit in my municipality?

While the Amicus program offers a monetary incentive for residents, the mobile solution is also meant to alleviate the challenges of building out custom tools within the existing 311 Apps whether municipalities offer them or not. The "3-step" submission breaks down tedious barriers while providing an effective ways for residents to help support a safer community.

How does this differ from my 311 app?

Not all municipalities have a dedicated 311 app!

Those that do; populations shift by the 10,000's on a daily basis between municipalities. A dedicated 311 app is necessary for local residents who require assistance, however does not cover the various members of the community in transit. Our solution and mobile app is purpose built to be downloaded and deployed in minutes while providing a streamlined workflow for bylaw & code enforcement resolutions for municipalities by allowing for issuance out of the native solution.
